2. We work with great people, both on the floor and behind the scenes.

THE DAY WE ORGANIZE THE STORAGE UNIT!!!

Christmas Timeline:

1. Order all the decor in January (yes...JANUARY!!!)

2. Start receiving the product between March and May....yep...FOR REALS!

3. Continue receiving & pricing and bringing to the storage unit all summer.

4. SEPTEMBER: ORGANIZE THE STORAGE UNIT.

Truly,

this is an all day affair, and takes NO LESS than 4-5 people to pull it off within one day.

Every box needs to come out, be opened and have a decsision made as to what

"look"

it will fit into....and then packed back up and put into well catagorized groupings.

It's a big job...but must be done in order for us to completely transform

Grandifora

into a veritable winter wonderland

in

OCTOBER!!!

It's so fun to see all the goodies we've almost forgotten about since ordering in January.

Much forward thinking goes into making the decision what to buy and what not to.

If you don't buy early...you won't get the best of the best...

Grandiflora has contracted with an official mini-stockist for the full line of gorgeous water based eco-friendly paints.

You won't believe how awesome these paints are to work with, let me tell you a bit more....

Besides offering a myriad of lovely colors to choose from, Annie Sloan has made using this nearly

goof-proof paint completely pain free!

The paint creates a luxurious velvety matte finish which you can then antique or distress to your liking; then simply seal with a light coat of wax.

Once done, you'll be left with an awesome patina that you'd normally only find in

 French Chateaus!

You simply have to see this awesome book

which shows how it's all done!

Not only is the paint forgiving and easy to work with....

you don't have to sand off the old finish of your piece, or prime with nasty old stinky primer!

Hats Off to Fall...or Rather, Hats On!

Cute hats seem to be popping up everywhere lately, and Grandiflora is no exception!

We have so many sweet hats in stock now, that we are having a difficult time trying to decide which ones to feature first!

We are in love with this blush pink cozy crochet hat....it also comes in a nice charcoal grey.

You simply must get in and see all the other hat possibilities. We've snatched up so many great options at market, but...they are going fairly quickly!

Don't delay, these hats are great for football games, tailgate parties, and crisp fall days which are fast approaching!

Today I thought I'd share another lovely shot of some pretty baskets we will be offering on the site.

If you're local, you could already slip in and find these lovely baskets for sale ( assuming someone else hasn't already beat you to it!).

But for the rest of you out there in blog land, you'll just have to be patient with us as we work through all the kinks and difficulties which need to be hammered out.

The good news?

Once we get this site up and running....you'll be thrilled to see all the lovelies we'll have to offer.

A little bit vintage, a little bit mod, a smidgen of tradition, with a pinch of trend.

Behind the Scenes at a GrandifloraHome.com Photo Shoot

 Well, if you haven't heard the news yet....you should probably know that we are opening another location!

Yes....it's ONLINE!

Whoo Hoo!

We're Calling it:

Grandiflora Home

In order to upload all the lovely items we've chosen to feature in our online store, we need to do

Photoshoots!

At first this seems like a load of fun, and oh it is!

:)

We were in our glory for about a few hours of this....and then it became more than a few hours...

La Von (my partner in crime) primping yet another item for the online store.

 We spent almost an entire day working with the best products in one of the sweetest locations ever!

I won't lie to you...it's kinda a dream come true for me!

I'm LOVING this!!!

But only a peek for you....as we don't want to spoil anything for the big reveal later this fall!

Having a treasure trove of vintage and antique items at our disposal, made this photo shoot all the more enjoyable!

As the day went by, we sipped our iced tea in this beautiful idyllic location with chickens chattering in the background.

We worked hard & with great thought for each item.

Dreaming about all the people who are going to love perusing the site filled with all that Grandiflora has stood for after all these years:

trends layered upon classics; all at affordable prices.

We truly enjoy serving our customers,
