It's Time for Christmas In July!!! Yikes!!!!

Ok, this is where you say...."What in the World?????"
I understand this is a bit unnerving for more than a few of you, however... what you probably didn't know is that we've been receiving Christmas products for well over a few months now!!! Yes, REALLY!
We actually "buy" all of our Christmas products in January if you can believe that! It takes most of the year to ship, take posession, and receive our extensive collections. Boy...what alot of work! But man o' man is it worth it! Make sure that you and your friends are signed up on our mailing list to receive the special invitation and coupons for our Big 10th Anniversary and Holiday Decor Event!

Although these photos are from our 2009 Christmas collections, I can assure you that we are getting even more great looks into our receiving area right now to unveil later this year during our 10th Anniversary Celebration!!!

SO, what does all of this mean for you??? Basically, we can see that in order to fit all of this really great product into the shop this Fall/Christmas season....we need to clear out some room on our shelves. Translation: YOU CAN BE A SMART SHOPPER AND COME IN NOW WHILE WE ARE STARTING TO MARK ITEMS DOWN FOR THE BEGINNING OF OUR SUMMER CLEARANCE SALE COMING UP SOON! Make sure to come in often as we continually mark new items down throughout the store. With a shop this big....it takes awhile to get through it all! :o)
Hope to see you soon!

Some New Additions...and Subtractions in Store Now

Well, hello there everyone! I am doing a bit of shameless promotion today here on the Grandiflora Blog. Some of you may know that I am a master crafter at heart....some not so much. Most of you regulars probably never see me as I tend to work solely in the back room! I was laughing the other day with a customer as she said " Hey....I didn't know you worked here anymore!" I had to tell her that actually I was one of the owners....and that I really do work at the store from time to time! :o) What I didn't tell her was that I'm often at home with my two little boys ( 6 & 4 ) crafting up a storm! I sell lots of what I make online in my Etsy.com shops TrishaBrinkDesign, Ollie Bollen, and Wesley Asher. HOWEVER, from time to time I create a line of products specifically for Grandiflora. SO, enough said...here are the goods!
In the first photo you saw my newest form of hair bands. The black one on the left is actually an Antique Victorian cut black glass button. These are very hard to find, and when found, not always in the best of shape since they are glass. The band on the right is a fabric covered button...everyone really seems to like this black and white color way. Above, you see a black rose adjustable ring, another variation on one of my black rose bobby pins, and yet another Antique Victorian Button adjustable ring. All of these items range in affordable prices from $2.95 to $9.95. I like my items to move...and I believe in affordable art to wear...thus the stellar prices.

I really am in love with this jewelled gun metal floral medallion necklace. Hurry there are only 2 of these, and they won't be in the store until Friday (tomorrow) morning....

The black and grey rose necklaces are by far the most popular at only $7.95 and $8.95 respectively. I think these make awesome gifts for just about anyone of any age! Start your Christmas shopping early...think about the stocking stuffer-ability!!!

Along with all of the sleek lines, I've thrown in some pretty interesting artifacts. You'll find anything from antique sheet music from 1899, to antique enamelled watch faces, vintage European postage stamps, retro game pieces, and tiny bottles of twinkling German glass glittererd wishes. I think this is one of the most cohesive collections I've ever made! The best part? You can afford all of it, you can layer many different charms, and black and cream looks good at any age on anyone! Now, THAT is good design.
I hope you like my little Vintage Eclectic Collection. Every piece comes packaged "Oh so cutely" with a vintage flashcard and cello bag....great for gifting! There are so many other photos I want to show you of other items....but you'll have to come in and see those for yourself....maybe you'll see them in another future blog post....however with all these "additions" to the jewelry stock there have been just as many "subtractions" from the shelves as things are moving quickly. I hope to keep up with production as I do actually HAVE to set a good example for our employees....and work around the shop once in awhile! :o)
I'll be working this Friday and Saturday....come and say "Hi" and mention this code "ADDITIONAL GIFT". When you purchase something from my collection I'll have a pretty little extra something waiting just for you! One gift per person while supplies last.
Thanks for being such valued customers, and hope you are enjoying our newly found SUMMER!!!
Cheers,
Trish :o)

Last But Not Least...The Road Trip Must Finally End :(

Well, as those of you who are avid followers of the blog know...we have been sharing with you the latest road trip we've been on lately to Spokane, Washington. We visited The Farm Chicks Show http://www.thefarmchicks.com almost a month ago (Yikes, has it really been that long???). This is my last installment of lovely photos and items from the show. Although I've got many more photos....one just has to know when to edit. If you are desperate to see more, please go and visit our shop Flickr page (see link at top of blog).
Above, you will see a lovely headboard refurbished with burlap and white paint/buttons...isn't it lovely?
We thought this quote was wonderful!!! Isn't the chalkboard great?

Here's Kim admiring some creative handiwork....the show was packed with all sorts of lovelies!

Heee heee heeee, I thought this chalkboard hamper was adorable. I'm not sure my hamper message at home would be so sweet! ;o)

Lastly, we found a gal spreading out her finds at the end of the day....what a great stash she found! If you haven't been in the store lately....you will be surprised at how much of this style we now are getting in! I suggest a little trip in to check it out!
If you are on the mailing list, you will have gotten our email by now....I hope you can come in and take advantage of the perks of being a member of our valued customer list. If you aren't getting our emails, swing on in to get signed up, and become a member of our rewards program!
