We're having another give away!!

It's time again to have a drawing for something fun - just in time for Mother's Day! (you certainly don't have to be a mom to enter)

This adorable basket is filled with products from Thymes in the Kimono Rose scent. If you haven't smelled this one you must come in and give it a try! When I first heard that they were coming out with a new scent called Kimono Rose, I instantly thought "Rose Milk" (You probably did too - you know - like Grandma use to have?). This is such a wonderful smelling product and it doesn't smell anything like Rose Milk :-)!!!

All you need to do is email us at grandiflorahomeandgarden@verizon.net and tell us you want to be entered in the Mother's Day drawing! Even if we already have your email, or you entered the last drawing you need to email to sign up for this drawing! We are having the drawing on May 5th, so you must enter by midnight on Mon. May 4th so you can keep it for your own Mother's Day gift, or give it to your mom!

We have lots of new merchandise!!!

We officially just finished putting a pallet of new merchandise out on the floor! So, yesterday Lavon started working her display magic! You know me - I love red, so I love this display!

The clock featured in this display is brand spankin' new!! Isn't it fun? It has a chalkboard and clips to hold notes, info, pics, etc.

We only have 3 of these clocks, so you'd better get in before they're gone!!

We also have lots of fun food items for your dining pleasure out on your patio this summer! We have lots of different mixes for dips, cheeseballs and soups. There is an awesome apple/chipotle sauce to add to your meat, pepper jelly for crackers (awesome poured over cream cheese to serve)- you'll just have to come in and check out the possibilities!!

The forcast is looking better and better, so I think spring is officially here!! Pick up some dips to have on hand so you can invite people over to sit outside on those wonderful sunny evenings!

Check back later this week - we'll be posting our next drawing!!

Another "how to"

One of the most commom trouble areas for our customers to decorate is..............THE MANTLE!!!

We don't have a mantle handy here at the store to help you visualize different ideas, so we went and found one!

Here is a picture of the mantle with a few items that the homeowner was hoping to use on her mantle!

The girls did their magic and added a few new things, and this is what they came up with! First, they did a neutral look! Don't you love how classic this is!! Here's what they've added.......a print, a clock, and a decorative ball! That's all -simple huh?

Here's the same look with the candlesticks and vase switched............

Here are the girls doing what they do sooooooooo well!!

Next they took the same look and added some green accents to spice it up and make it more spring/summer friendly!

Of course, the Grandiflora Girls had to do more than one look! So here is the next look on it's way.........

The homeowner had the old books, decorative ball and the small pot with greens and flowers. The girls added the red pots with topiaries and the double prints. A totally different look on the same mantle.

Just to show another look, they had brought along a basket with grasses in it and replaced the green pot.

We have more "how to's" planned. Some of the upcoming ideas are: end tables, book shelves, and front porches. Be sure to keep checking the blog because you never know when the next "how to" will show up!

We are throwing around the idea of having decorating and "how to" evening classes for our customers. It would be a sign-up event with a small fee that you would receive back in a gift certificate to spend that night (and of course there would be chocolate!). Let us know what you think of this idea, would it be something you'd consider signing up for, what decorating glitches are you having, etc. I'm always up for a fun girls night out aren't you?!?!

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend, and maybe stop in to pick up a new plant or something fun for your flower beds!

How do you like your stake..................?

As the sun shines (off and on :-), our thoughts begin to turn to decorating outdoors! We have gotten some great garden decor items in...........one of those being.........stakes - garden stakes that is!

There are so many styles, colors, heights, etc. to choose from that there is certainly one to please everyone!!!

These stakes are smaller and would look great in a pot!

This one glows in the dark after being charged by the sun all day - very cool!

And this one may be a new word for you again - it's an armillary - I just call it a really cool looking stake! I want one for my yard!(it comes in black too!)

We have also added many different styles of trellis (okay how do you pluralize that word?!?!?!?). I love how adding a trellis as a backdrop to your flower bed gives it a whole new look.

I know the last couple days have been cool and rainy again, but as I am typing and look outside, there is sun streaming through the window here at Grandiflora. If I were you, I would start sprucing up those flower beds now, so when we hit 70 degrees again...........you can sit back with an ice tea and just enjoy!!

Don't forget Mother's Day is coming up on May 10th - I think something new for mom's flowerbeds would be perfect, don't you?

Drum roll please...................

We have a winner!! On March 31st we held the drawing for all that sent us their correct email address. Our winner is Yumi Kim...............she came in Saturday to pick out her prize (1 of 5 fabulous gift baskets full of Thymes products) and was gracious enough to let us take a quick snapshot to share with all of you! Thanks Yumi! Enjoy your basket full of Sleep Well products by Thymes!

We will annnounce the dates for our next drawing soon! We have more baskets to give away soon, so keep watching!

Hope you all got to enjoy the sunshine. Don't forget to come browse our garden area! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some fun new pots by my front door, and I've been eyeing those garden stakes and decorations in the garden area. Hmmmmmmmm, I haven't shared the garden stakes with you have I? Sounds like a good idea for my next post! Sorry about the lapse in postings, I was out of town for a few days, so we're back to our regular programming................

It's an Eggstravaganza!!

If you haven't been in to see us lately at Grandiflora, I think this might be the weekend!! On Friday and Saturday we are participating in an event called an "Eggstravaganza" in Lynden at participating stores.

How does it work? Come into the store, browse and enjoy for a while, and when you bring your items to the counter to purchase we will have you pick an egg from our basket. When you "crack" your egg open, you will get a minimum of 10% off and up to 50% off your ENTIRE purchase!! (excludes sale items and consignment). Now's the time to come in and pick up that new item to bring Spring into your home! We are all dying for a touch of spring right now aren't we!!

So, come in and see the Grandiflora girls and pick your egg! Here are Lavon and Trisha with some of the cutest Easter baskets you've ever seen! Don't they look bright and happy like Spring (minus the rain)!!

We hope to see you this weekend and we'll be announcing our next drawing soon! Congratulations to our winner - we'll snap a picture for you when she comes in to pick out her prize.
